Sunday Summer Worship — 1 Worship Service at 9:30 am

As we work on our strategic planning process and living into our guiding statements,
we will have opportunities to try new things as a faith community.
This summer, starting May 26th and (June, July and August), we will move to one worship service on Sundays at 9:30 am. Why?

  • Our 2 Sunday worship communities can worship together and build intentional relationships with one another.
  • Our altar guild, staff, worship leadership, musicians and worship volunteers will feel supported to receive a break from their servant leadership
  • An opportunity to worship together can create an atmosphere of joyful generosity to welcome guests to our community.
  • We will have 13 additional Wednesday night meal and worship opportunities May - August 7.

Again, during our movement into living out our new guiding statements, we are all called to pray, have patience and participate. It will not only be about making technical and programmatic changes, but about making changes to put people and purpose first. At the end of the summer, we will reevaluate and ask for reflections and feedback about having Sunday worship at 9:30 am. Thank you to the worship and music board for discussing and supporting this worship experience.
