Celebrate Reformation Sunday with Calvary Lutheran Church

On Sunday, October 31 at 9:30 am worship, we will celebrate Reformation to honor the transforming life of Jesus Christ and the love given to each of us through his grace.

WEAR RED

The color of the day is RED. We invite everyone to wear red. Who knows? Maybe we will take a few pictures to share on social media for those who really get into the spirit of the day.

HYMN SING

Our special music for the day will be YOU! Please come with your favorite hymn in mind so that we can sing it together during our hymn sing. Martin Luther thought that it was important to “sing the faith” and we continue that tradition. There will also be a special music piece played at the end of worship during the postlude. Stay and listen!

A Door & 95 Theses

Yes, there will literally be a door! The puppets will get in on the storytelling about the day, too! Martin Luther wrote the Ninety-five Theses on October 31, 1517 and it was what sparked the Protestant Reformation. Find out why they are still important for us today!

Fellowship & food

Stay for a few minutes to visit with one another, eat a donut and drink a cup of coffee.
